Tour itineraries are subject to weather conditions. Freshly packed lunch and soft drinks will be provided on all full day tours. Please remember to take sun screen, hat, bathing suit, insect repellent, binoculars (if you have them) and a camera. Solid, closed walking shoes and long trousers are highly recommended for inland tours.
On-site activities
. Early morning guided bird walks: The lodge's property offers a range of bird habitats from forest to riverside to orchard and therefore attracts a wide variety of species including North American visitors during the winter months. Many nesting birds can be observed during the spring and early summer.
. Night walks: The night walk offer visitors the opportunity to see something of the animal and insect life around the Lodge. A little bit scary but fascinating!
. Mountain Biking: Mountain bikes can be rented for self-guided tours of the area. Several Mayan villages are within easy reach for keen cyclists.
. Guided dory trip: Take an afternoon dory trip upstream from the lodge with our on-site guide. Observe the bird and animal life as the sun sets and the shadows fall across the river .
. Kayaking: Kayaks are available and can be launched from the riverside for trips down the Rio Grande. The Lodge will arrange for visitors to be picked up downstream.
